The term “online Nikah” can describe different arrangements: both parties joining remotely, one party joining remotely, or a representative acting with lawful authority. The religious and legal acceptability of a particular arrangement depends on the facts, the applicable Islamic requirements, the relevant Pakistan registration process and the documents used.

Rawalpindi falls within Punjab. Current Punjab child-marriage law also sets 18 as the minimum age for both parties. The registration and documentation route should be confirmed before the Nikah is scheduled.
After a lawful Nikah, proper registration and documentary evidence are important. Overseas use can require certified translation, attestation or legalisation. A Pakistan registration record does not automatically guarantee foreign civil recognition, immigration acceptance or spouse-visa approval.
